Sometimes I feel like the extreme right has kidnapped our American imagery. A flag displayed on a porch or flowing from the back of a pick-up truck doesn't mean patriotism to me anymore. It seems to symbolize a certain way of voting and an overwhelming desire to shut us off from the rest of the world.
Well, it's time for us to reclaim those symbols. Or, at least muddy the waters about what they mean. Here, simply adding the word Democrats to an iconic eagle image gets us started.
