Lesson Learned About AI Images

Pablo Cain is blessed to have some great advisers. Friends, for sure. I decided to create images showing people wearing the t-shirts and tanks. I believed that potential buyers could better see how the various shirts fit. Artificial Intelligence sprang forward with a cool solution: AI-generated images that look pretty dang realistic. With one exception (more on that in a bit), none of the images I generated were intended to look like anyone anyone would know.
My best advisor, a fellow Gen Xer, let me know in clear language that people out in the real world, especially young people can smell an AI-generated image from a mile away. And the smell is bad. Putrid.
Well, there you go.
I pondered the images I had created, cruised around to some other t-shirt sites and analyzed just how much extra time I spent (wasted) making the images. It did not take me long to agree with her and her Millenial and Gen Z influencers.
So, I am embarking on removing all those AI generated images. I have a plan to get some real models. Soon!
PS: The one image I created of a real person showed an artificially-generated Melania Trump wearing a tank top with the word Immigrant proudly emblazoned on it.
Below is one of the images I made with AI. So, you can see what I am talking about...
Great lesson learned early on in the business-launching process. Like a lot of steps in the creation process...it used up a lot of time. All good, though.
