Women's Tees, Tanks, Sweatshirts and Hoodies Style Information

Pablo Cain carefully selected the best options for shirts, tanks and hoodies. But how do you know which is best for you? Here is a little guide to help:
For Women’s Tees:
Slimming fit. Do you like a women’s t-shirt that mimics your hourglass shape? These shirts typically accomplish the body-contour shape with side seams that reduce the width of the shirt, so judge them based on the width of a sample size large. The smaller the width, the tighter the squeeze. These widths are in inches and width is measured as pit to pit and then doubled to give a sort of circumference of the shirt.

Fabric Weight. Do you like a lightweight t-shirt, maybe a softer feel? The best way to measure this is the actual fabric weight, although the next characteristic, fabric content, might also play a factor. Generally, the lighter the fabric weight, the lighter the shirt will feel. Pablo knows that some of you ladies prefer the heavier and heftier tee. If so, look for a heavier fabric weight. Weight is expressed as ounces per square yard.

Fabric Content. Some of you have told Pablo “100% cotton only.” Okay. There are still some options. Here are what the options for fabric content mean:
100% cotton. This generally indicates a basic cotton construction, without spinning, combing or other special treatment. Think of the cotton that goes into a jersey. Women’s shirts made of 100% cotton may be tumble dried on a low setting. Cropped Heritage, Heavyweight Crewneck.
100% ring spun cotton. The cotton has gone through a process to make it softer and stronger. Tumble dry low.
100% Airlume, ring spun cotton. Proprietary (Bella + Canvas) process that makes the cotton lighter, stronger and just a bit stretchy. Tumble dry low. Premium Crewneck.
Triblend. Content is 50% polyester, 25% ring spun cotton, 25% rayon. The result is a very soft, lightweight shirt that feels nice in a tighter or looser fit. Manufacturer recommends no tumble dry. Triblend Crewneck.
Length. One of the biggest reasons women do not like to wear men’s or unisex shirts is that they run kind of long. Some women’s styles embrace the longer, taller shirt, others go for a more cropped design. Here are the shirts in order of length, measured in inches using Size L as a basis. (To measure the length of your favorite shirt, place the end of the tape beside the collar at the top of the shirt (Highest Point Shoulder). Pull the tape measure to the bottom of the shirt.)
